Born in 1981, she lives and works in contact with nature near Prague. She studied at the Intermedia studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Her practical experience ranges from stone sculpture, working with film language, working with natural materials, watercolour painting and music. She is strongly committed to the subject of mushrooms, on many levels. For her, mushrooms are a holistic resource from which to gain knowledge, from taste buds to spiritual attunement and connecting with hidden forms of consciousness. Her originality, underscored by craft and folk art, is reflected in objects made from chorosh. Ladra's frequent artistic tool is watercolour paints, which she makes herself, and whose pigments are exclusively of natural origin. The process of production is as important here as the painting itself. She draws on old dye recipes to which she adds her own innovations. A distinctive feature of her creative personality is her spontaneity and ability to improvise. She develops these qualities not only in artistic techniques but also in musical production. Together with Lída Bartošová, she forms the band MR, a genre that straddles the border of psychedelic indie folk, alternative rock with elements of electronica and ambient.
